Just bumped into this Podcast titled  “Yum tings” hosted by @AnthonyBila  and @j_cillers not sure when it was founded though but without doubt y’all should take your time and listen to it. They call it the oracle of the internet but in details yum tings is similar to a radio station show that touches on conversations about the latest online info specifically music just that instead of featuring too much mainstream music yum tings play majority non mainstream artists, artists you probably haven’t  heard of and another thing is an episode is 30+ minutes long, each airs live per week not sure which day of the week but I’m guessing Fridays.
In conclusion, just after listening to one episode i was hooked then right away decided to share it with you and trust me you do need this in your life!

WOMEN ON SEX.

women-on-sex-south-africa-web-series-mmabatho-montsho-1On my daily routine of checking out what’s new on the internet, I happily bumped into a link with such a catchy tag; “Women On Sex”. Yes! So, out of curiosity, I instantly opened with such a ‘thumping’ grin on my face. I just couldn’t wait to find what it was about exactly. and my!!! I thank heavens I got to find out about it. I’m one person who really loves casual debate, discussion about controversial issues and just anything related to people’s different perceptions on specific aspects of life and its subs.

Okay, let me get to the subject matter. Women On Sex is basically a webseries about women’s perceptions, belief, views and sentiments in as far as sex is concerned. It is not your typical webseries, it’s on a much deeper level. The series is produced and Directed by Mmabatho Montsho where different women of different professions and sexuality are mainly on candid one-on-one interviews. Questioned about sex, virginity, the “co-existence” of power, money and sex and other various touchy attributes of sex in a woman’s world.

As a woman, I do not think you would like the existence of this webseries to pass you by. Men too, don’t be an ignorant jerk, be open! sex is a two way street. Each episode is nothing more than 10 minutes, hell, it’s not even over 7 minutes, so what’s your excuse huh?

Some interesting quotes from the interviewees;

“If a woman can give birth and her Vagina bounces back, then what is your Penis going to do?” ~ Tshegofatso Senne

“All people inspect is that hole, whether it’s got that hymen or not…we are NOT a piece of flesh called hymen”~ Khosi Jiyane

Down below is a link to Women On Sex YouTube channel. Make sure you watch, subscribe for more episodes, and just enjooooy listening to people’s views on this touchy subject.

meet Matimu Sithole a random person i know who has a good vision for photography this i say because of his instagram account, the images he captures using a phone are amazing when ever i look at most of them these words come to my mind “the day this dude gets his hands on a canon or Nikon his gonna murder most of these photographers”. This post was suppose to be an interview but when i texted him this question…

What is your inspiration for the images you capture together with your captions? his response was…

Not everyone understands, elders of the older generation to be precise “how can taking pictures be a hobby?” They ask… “How much do you charge for one?”. Well It’s not quite surprising, growing and being fed of the impression ;I don’t think anyone then once shot pictures only to take advantage of the good eye they posses and for the fun of it.

I started in 2013. At first I took ‘random shoots’ , but as I did I found my self falling inlove and the deeper I got.. compliments piled up. Being called “Photogenics”, my friend @nxalati8 asked if I knew or have ever heard of anything about instagram. I remember my response included me having seen pictures shared by @_joewe_on Facebook but by then I used a phone’s software which wasn’t compatible, until I got my hands on android 4.1 jelly bean.
instagram became a platform for wider exploring. Having to see other people’s work, admiring, hoping to bring forth better.. and gather more knowledge on the spicing up “colours” (filters). Owk, soooo each image captured is entitled and aspires it’s story to be heard,, to be told. It takes only a look, into mostly who you are cause if you the one destined to sieze the perfect shot then the story is yours to tell. Long for it’s perfect aspiration to inspire you, The Image is yours.

“I’m still learning!” you wrote he Ntwanano, It’s simple but yet very powerful … Yes we are still learning, we always will and only then can we be walking motivations.

at that very moment just after reading this response i knew that this guy is passionate and the words “the day this dude gets his hands on a canon or Nikon his gonna murder most of these photographers” were true. That one question and answer was all i needed.

Just Read.

IMG_20151001_090540

I would like to share what I find rather useful in today’s society. The concept of reading. You probably have read and heard what I’m about to say a jillion times before but just allow me say it anyway.

Growing up, my Dad was an English teacher. I believe you already know what that meant for us, his kids. Yes, it meant we had to be overly conscious about our grammar, language and communication. He was one huge enemy of ignorance I had ever come to know. Whenever I had language assignments (whether Afrikaans, English and xiTsonga, cos those were my high school languages) I’d just hide them or probably write the morning it was due merely because I didn’t want any lectures from him. and honestly looking back now, I’m like “who in the world was I fooling really?”. From a very young age I had always been fascinated by words, literally so. How specific words originated, their rather prominent definition and of course how they were utilised, phrases and all that made up a language, if that makes any possible sense, but yea.

Anyhoo, the point I would so much like to make and hope it sticks up in your head is READING IS CRUCIAL in every possible aspect. As cliché as that sounds. Learn to read every single day. You don’t necessarily have to read a novel but it’s advisable to read and write as much as you possibly can. From random article, analyse arrangement of words, use of phrases and idioms. There’s a ton of ways how reading can change your mind, perspectives and stance on some supreme situation and circumstance in your life. Read for fun, make it a hobby. Better your communication skills, vocabulary and be knowledgeable. Be a useful tool to society.

Considering how much inclined we are with social media and everything developing around us, I do not believe there’s any excuse you can have for not reading cos there are links everywhere about random news, articles on beauty, health, relationships, social life, and generally life itself.

So, now, what excuse for not reading today do you have, huh?

Refuse to be ignorant.
